About Gengmeng Data & Intelligence
I didn't expect a quantitative finance internship to change the way I think π‘, but it did.
Building investment models showed me how easily an assumption could be wrong. I realized that I liked being proven wrong π, because rethinking the mistake helped me improve the logic and move closer to a better answer.
I carried that mindset into my internship working with marketing data. Every client and campaign behaved differently. I liked noticing changes in the numbers and asking what was driving them, then using the answer to help clients move closer to their goals.
That curiosity does not stop when I close my laptop. It is probably why kite surfing is next on my list. I can also easily lose track of time in an art museum π¨. My interest in art is why I enjoy using simple visuals and thoughtful design to tell the story behind the numbers, helping people focus on what matters rather than showing every detail.
I also laugh a lot π. I take my work seriously, but not myself. The best teams I have been part of were open-minded. People could ask honest questions, challenge ideas, and still enjoy solving the problem together.
If any of this resonates with you, I'd love to connect π. Whether you'd like to discuss a project, exchange ideas, or simply say hello, feel free to reach out via LinkedIn or email.
